Introducing the new COB81 dry ice cleaning machine !

Get ready for the COB81, the latest developed dry ice blasting machine ! Our engineers have made some nice improvements on the COB62plus to make your blasting experience smoother and more efficient. The COB81 is especially developed for focalised cleaning and high performance cleaning with low air consumption.

This machine is based on the patented CRYONOMIC® technology of ARTIMPEX NV. and meets the new EC machine directive 2006/42/EC (incl 2006/95/EC and 2004/108/EC). 

The COB81 is pre-equipped to do more than dry ice cleaning: by adding a little bit of grit you can use it also as a dry ice grit blaster ! 

 

What's new ?

  1. Better pellet flow: our new hopper design ensures dry ice pellets flow effortlessly, just like our bigger machines. The new design also holds 17 kg dry ice instead of 14 kg!
  2. Less compressed air, same results: We've optimized airflow, so you'll get top results with less air. It's efficient and saves you time and money.

  • Robust illuminated buttons: buttons are super durable and easy to use, even with gloves on!
  • Programmed soft start to avoid sudden reaction force on the gun

  • Ergonomic support for 5m or 10m dry ice hose
  • Incl. forklift support

For what dry ice applications can you use the COB81 ?

With dry ice that is soft you can clean without any damage:
• Removal of oil, grease, carbon residues, foodstuff, bitumen, paint, fly rust, ....from any object
• Stubborn residues from production equipment like plastic, rubber of used release agents from moulds, ....

With dry ice and abrasives that are semi-hard or hard you remove and damage slightly the top layer of metals, stone,
• Removing all rust to realise a metal-bright surface 
• Surface roughening before coating, glueing, painting,... of metals
• It can be used to clean buildings, infrastructure and other objects of different nature (wood, metal, stone etc.) that require an abrasive touch

The COB81 is delivered with the new ergonomic blasting gun MG1007 with integrated gun light button and new robust connector:

  • Gun light with strong white LEDs: the more you see, the better the cleaning quality!
  • Gun light is powered via mains cable, to avoid "low battery..."
  • Quick-fit nozzles changed within seconds: no tools required
  • Nozzles can be turned in any desired position during operation !
  • Integrated safety catch: avoids undesired blast activation (legally imposed for CE and not present on alternatives!)
  • The control cable plugs directly into the gun! No more annoying dangling connectors under the gun
  • Ergonomic shockproof thermoplastic handle

Electrically isolated dry ice blast gun MG1006

• To clean live (low- to mid-voltage) equipment
• Full plastic isolated blast gun for applications where non-conductive tooling is a safety requirement

Heavy duty dry ice blast hoses

A hose set for COB series dry ice blasting machines contains:

• Heavy duty blast hose with quick coupling and stainless steel earthing 
• One control cable (for start/stop and gun light)
• Protecting sleeve

The blast hoses are available in different lenghts (up to 30 m for this machine and up to 150 m for the COMBI73 blaster)

Pellet crushers

Crushes dry ice pellets for cleaning delicate surfaces and objects

• Easy to mount at machine and/or gun (in a matter of seconds with quick coupling)

Which pellet crusher to choose?

1. The standard pellet crusher 100% can be used for delicate surfaces.

2. The variable crusher 50-100% can be used for less delicate surfaces.

Abrasive Module

Dry ice grit blasting

• Making cleaning up after abrasive blasting much easier and faster

• Reducing the volume of secondary waste. The dry ice completely disappears on impact
• Extending the scope of general contract cleaning companies significantly with 1 machine

Every abrasive agent with a diameter between 0,1 mm and 2 mm can be used.

What kind of abrasives can be used?

Specialised companies selling different types of abrasive agents will be able to advise you the most suitable abrasive for your application. Every abrasive agent with a diameter between 0,1 mm and 2 mm can be used.
